I am selling my small ranch and the horses. It's time to downsize. Health issues are making it too difficult to maintain the property. I am undescribably heartbroken just thinking about never seeing Sarge again. IMG_1519445065036.jpg

Yup, me too. My body can't keep up with it any more and my two Mules have to go. Such is life. I try to look at it in an optimistic way: the end of one era opens the door for the beginning of a new one. You just have to give yourself time and be patient with yourself while you are “ in training“ for the new era.

    I'm sorry to hear it.

You think you could just board one horse? Sell the others?

My going horseless lasted 5 years.

That was a really long dark time for me. I was so depressed, I hardly left the house.

Having Charm gets me out and doing things again.

I'm sorry Sarge. Hang in there though, many of us have gone through this and for sure it's hard. (((Hugs))) to you.

My disease is degenerative. It only gets worse. Boarding a horse won't do much good.

I sold both horses today to a young family. They put a 20% hold on them. They are great with the horses and the horses liked them. We are going to keep them until their house is ready in November.

    Bittersweet for sure...
I am glad you found such a good home for them!

Bittersweet for sure, but at least you have some time to ease into it.
Sending you some comforting thoughts. I'm sure it wasn't easy. :heartbeat:
