So here I have a sweet little mare who's not only a spiffy little halter horse but a spiffy little WP/HUS horse and now looking at being a spiffy little reining horse. According to SOME sources her sire was an AQHA/APHA registered "crop out" stallion back in the 80s who was an NRHA 2x world champion. But I can't find any real substantial evidence to support that. He is on her papers and I have found HIS dam who is none other then the great mare "The Great Escape" an NRHA money earner of NRHA $19,548.41 and her total offspring earnings were NRHA $229,705.34. To her own merit she only was the dam to 12 foals. 8 of which became top performers. She herself was top 10 at the NRHA Open Futurity, she was the Ohio Valley RHA Breeder's Futurity Non-Pro Champion, the NRHA Super Stakes Futurity Intermediate Non Pro-Champion, and the NRHA Super Stakes Futurity Non-Pro Champion. Can anyone confirm Genuine Pine's status as a champion? Not that it matters much. I'd just like to know for future benefit. The only record I have of this is a dead link on google and a sale page for a yearling colt that says "One year old blood bay colt out of Reining Champion Genuine Pine." The filly's dam's side is much more easy to work out. Dam's sire is "Dun Gift Wrapped" who was an APHA World Champion. Only issue is Genuine Pine. Input greatly appreciated.
