Well, it’s up to 38 now, but early this morning it was 8 and all the rain was a frozen mess. Most of the schools in the western and central part of the U.P. Are closed, because of the black ice earlier. It’s raining now, but will turn to snow later, 5 to 7.

Tomorrow, the Lake effect is going to kick in, and some may get up to 12 inches, in the higher elevations.

We are tucked in for the duration, got groceries the other day, have hay and feed, and dog food. The wood pile is stacked by the back door in case we loose electric. Filled water barrels in barn for horses, buckets full to flush the toilet, and gallon jugs for drinking and cooking. We have a wood stove for heating and can cook on it. Let it Snow, lol.

I once read a story where someone referred to that as "Shoveling 'Partly Cloudy' " lol.
My mentor was a proclaimed former meteorologist who said "When they use the term Upper Level Low... it means they dont know what it will do, either!"
This time of year, I really Miss south central Tennessee!

One competition I'd happily lose :ROFLMAO: It completely thawed, rained on and off all night and this morning... and now temps are dropping dramatically. :( It was 55 when I got in my car this AM and a patient just told me it's currently 30. There will be just enough time for all the rain to turn into ice before it's blanketed with a foot of snow. Forecast says movies and hot chocolate all weekend!

    Yesterday: 55.
Last night, the wind changed. I heard it slam into the north side of my house and start to rain around 8.
By 10, it was little pellets of ice rattling against my window.
This morning, everything is ice, the wind and snow freeze your eyes shut as soon as you walk outside.

Yesterday morning it was 67 degrees with the sun shining. By noon it had dropped to 49 with the sky full of charcoal briquette clouds, wind and spurts of rain.
This morning it was 25 with a crescent moon and the sparkle of stars.

You people up North, quit sendin' your :poop: down here~!! o_O
