I just finished riding my boy and noticed he was foaming at the mouth. Is this a good thing? We spent alot more time trying to get him "on the bit" than normal, so could that have been the reason? Also, how can you tell if your horse is on the bit or just putting their head in and evading it? I think he might have just been evading it, so when this happens do I just push him on with my legs to get him moving into the bit? He wasn't slowing down at all, just putting his head in. It's quite hard to tell when theres noone there who can help from the outside. I should be getting lessons after xmas though.
