I was wondering are there certain times in the year when you need fly spray? Or is it all year round. I was wondering do I need to buy fly spray in April or do they not come out then?

Depends where you live. If there is a true winter where you live, then most likely not quite that early. I'm assuming you live in the US.

I live in Canada, the Cariboo, oh yeah we have real winters, lol! Sometimes, yes we need fly spray April. Last year was the worst of the worst for flies and biting insects, they arrived early and stayed late.

I live in North Texas - my horses needed fly spray last night ;)

Don't rely on a calendar, just watch your horses - when you see them stomping feet and swishing tails, the bugs are out.

Definitely depends where you live. I don't use it much, but when I do its only 2-3 months in the summer.
