I am new to horses and was just reading about Tequilla being floundered. Who exacly does a horse flounder? I mean is it something that humans do to them or give them? Anyone that can help would be appreciated greatly. It sounds like it is very painful and I want to keep it from happening to my horse Anne. Thank you.

I'm assuming that you are not talking about fish.

Foundering is a hoof problem that can be caused by many different things. You should talk to your vet after having him x-rayed. Your situation is unique as is your horse. The prognosis will be different for different horses. wink

If a horse flounders, does that mean he is fishing, or flopping around in the mud? And, if he is fishing, what do you call it when he catches nothing? I wonder how they reel it in? wink
