Feeding guidelines help (Canadian)

    In growing any baby you need to make sure that your cal/phos ratio is correct, that rhere is adequate copper and selenium and the correct amount and ratio of omega 3 and 6.
    There should be an average of 14%-16% protien in the diet.

    A call to your vet will probably answer if your area soil is particularly missing or too high in a particular mineral.

    Anyone growing babies should test their hay and supplement to meet the correct balance of other needed minerals and protien.

    With ponies and con types, you need to get the needed nutrition in while keeping the sugar and starch calories low.
