I have some exciting news to share. I have been working on these plans for a couple weeks, but I didn't want to post until it was final.

Today, after 10 years, I got my first horse back. She was my very first horse of my own and the first horse I ever trained. I got her as a yearling when I was 9. Mom made sure she was quiet enough for me to get on when I was 10 and she was 2. I did most of her ground work as a yearling. Mom put 2 rides on her to make sure she wasn't going to kill me and we never looked back. I had her until she was 15. She was the only horse I had all through 4-H. She took me to wins at the 4-H state show as well as 2 other kids after me.

Today, at age 25, she is mine again. The first thing I did was jump on her bareback in a halter and lope her around the pasture. I sure am excited to be her retirement home.

How cool! I agree she doesn't look her age at all! Any plans for her or just light riding and a comfy retirement?

I was wondering when you were going to post about it! She looks great for her age, and she is definitely going to be spoiled in her retirement:rofl:
