    Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah!!!! She's definitely in foal!

She had a 21 day ultrasound today. Tried a new vet, a longer drive but I really liked him and the facility, and it was pretty cheap. He said everything looked normal but wanted to do a caslicks procedure on her (where they sew up the vulva to keep poop out- ouch!!) so I let him.

I got a video of the ultrasound. Unfortunately didn't turn out fantastic, but it still kiiiiinda shows the amniotic fluid sac. I'm calling this embryo "Squishy II" :D

Video of ultrasound: may take a minute for the link to work as I just uploaded it: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH4lUqzy-kg"]YouTube - Horse Ultrasound[/ame]

This vet had me about in a fit. I told him I wanted them to look for twins, since she has a history of that. So he's hemming and hawing rooting around back there and I'm thinking "oh no, there's no pregnancy." My heart sinks as I'm watching it draw on and after FOREVER he's like "No, there's not twins" and I just wanted to grab and shake him!!! LOL He'd seen the first one right away!!

So is she going to carry the foal to full term...or transplant it? Very exciting though, congrats!
