Ugh, so it's miserable and raining out, and my baby goats (8 month olds, they were bottle fed) won't SHUT UP. They HATE the rain, so they're in the barn, I gave them some hay, but they're just sitting like little fat hens, and bleating. Do all goats hate rain? My horses certainly don't, they're all standing out in the pasture with their heads hanging down in a line.

It is amusing, they bleat when they want company, but it's SO annoying because they're SO loud. They aren't hungry, because they're both over weight.

All 3 of mine hate the rain. They complain and complain until they get put in the pen.

Mow and Whack hate the rain; they stay snuggled up inside their little dog house and stick their noses out of the door to yell at me everytime I go outside - I think they think I'm responsible for it.

Sorry, I have no advice either, but bleating baby goats sounds so adorable to me. :D Do you have any pictures?

 Sorry but I'll let you in on a secret... we move our goats with water guns... MOST goats hate water and rain. Giving a goat a bath is not fun either. If they have food, just ignore them. Most goats get chatty if they want attention or if they are in heat. At 8 months, if they are female, it could be heat. At that age, they are no longer babies or kids but young adults. I have 2 that will scream for 2 days straight every 21 days... they have the shortest lacations because nobody can stand them when they are not bred.

Do try to watch their weight as goats can founder just like horses. Scary but true.

I used to bring my show goat inside when it rained :p
She only weighed about 50 pounds (60 at her heaviest and our last show)
She would curl up in front of the the little space heater and sleep :)

I do try to watch their weight, they don't get but a handful of grain once a day.
