My good results in my toe, were largely b/c of the insane amount of swelling in it. The Rock Tape helped so so much and got the swelling out of the toe thankfully. I kept it wrapped for about a month so I could keep walking without limping & I was so much more comfortable :) The shoulder was when I was at a trade show and was in quite an amount of pain and still had to move over 1,500 lbs (had already moved it once) and even those tens machines at the show didn't do a darn thing for it, but the Rock Tape fixed it right away. I don't use the stuff often, but when I'm in a lot of pain, I certainly pull it out and apply it. :)

Lucky for me, I have some super basic training in it from school (but want to take more classes on it), and understand the human application, so with some comparative anatomy it is pretty easy to do. I do think the 4 inch roll will be much better for her though. I can see it helping for applications like yours, I just got turned off to it in school when we learned about the more "old school" way to use it... our professor who never used it in practice basically turned us off to it because she was not using the current evidence and methods for it. We learned about applying origin to insertion for activation, insertion to orgin to inhibit, and that's just nonsense honestly. We even learned about the color therapy where you pick colors to change the person's perception of the injury  I think how it's being used by most people now though seems to be quite helpful, and is, not for stability but for other applications, a much less rigid form of taping that is tolerated much better by people.

There are YouTube videos out there for how to apply the tapes. I use KT tape.

Oh and I forgot to mention, Miss Jessie is shedding up a storm already!!! Fingers crossed she has a nice summer coat this year on the Prascend.

Her coat is disgusting right now, between some hairy areas, some still clipped length, and others full of guard hairs, but she's shedding lots, so I'll refrain from clipping until I'm positive she won't shed it all out. She got a good groomy this morning!

Pre rinsing the poo off her legs  Ignore the frozen poop and horrific ice in the background  She is looking less plump again thank goodness. IMG_20190217_113922.jpg

She's been enjoying doing absolutely nothing the last couple months, so is hopefully fresh and ready to go come March (fingers crossed it's come March...).

So, she's still shedding, but looked to be growing in part summer part extra winter coat... so I caved and clipped her today. She's so much happier it seems (she gets itchy) and is gorgeous. I need to watch her weight, because she's looking a little cresty again, but really I just need this weather to get it together so we can get back to work! Started some IASTM and followed up with taping last night while I was wide awake at 11 pm thanks to daylight savings time :rolleyez: I regretted that this morning! The spot with the wavey tape is a big knot that I worked on (it's harder to get a feel under the tool on these guys than it is to get on humans). She's much less unhappy about her L stifle being messed with though not 100%. I kind of don't feel terrible that she's had so much time off for it to calm down, but I know she's going to need a very slow start back into things. Her clipped coat is divine and still shedding like crazy, so I'm still hopeful for a real summer coat (y)
