That format of jacuzzi tub gets installed in a frame that is in turn finished to suite the room. That's necessary to hide all the plumbing. Be sure there is access from below or the side to where the water supply heads to the controls... ;) Stuff happens...

Here's an example of how these things go in...pardon the mauve...the previous owner did that and I haven't had the funds to get it painted white with special paint designed for the purpose:

Hey I have a toilet that would match that! IMG_0553.JPG

We have access via under the house, cabinet and from the behind the stove if necessary, or even through the wall on the 3rd side. Plenty of angles to get at it.

We had a potty that matched, too. And a sink. The rats in some landfill are now enjoying them, I'm sure. :) The previous owners did a bathroom remodel back when this color was "the thing" when they were considering selling the property the first time. They couldn't go through with it emotionally, however. I don't believe either of them ever had been in the jacuzzi tub just due to their physical limitations. Hence, the tiny "phone booth" shower that was next to it...which I replaced with a 48" wide brand new one recently. I'll be engaging a company that specializes in painting fixtures like this to cover that mauve up with boring, but more appropriate white. :D

Painted most of the house. I just need to cut in the edges and do a second coat. Not pleased with one color but it will have to do until I'm sick of it. I'm just glad it got done and I had help! I hate painting!
