    Looking into purchasing this mare.

I would like the GOOD AND BAD of her conformation! I know photos aren’t great but she is on the track and these are the only ones they uploaded.

What is the intended use of the horse? Is she sound? Do you have a video of her in motion?

    Trails, just pleasure. Western riding.
If I compete it will be for fun.

Can you link to the video?
    How old is she?
She is built very narrowly in front.
Cute face , love the long ears!
Shoulder looks upright, that wither will make it loads of fun to fit a saddle to..sickle hocked behind, long pasterns.
She looks a bit unbalanced, heavier in front. Left front looks to be slightly back at the knee but it´s hard to tell from these pics.
I don´t think there is anything in her conformation that would be an instanst "no", especially since you are not planning a taxing sports career for her...
    Would you retrain her yourself?

Extremely base narrow , very in at the knee, weedy. Weedy is not enough bone for her size, “ built tall and narrow, like a weed“. Her bone gets smaller as it goes down: her ankles and feet are way too small for her size.

Find a horse with bone and substance

Good lord, pass. You're looking at some very basic conformation faults that'll set her up for injury and lack of stamina. I'm sorry.

Ok, just look at the top photo. Can you see where her legs aren't straight, the knees come in. Her chest is very narrow. This means there is not going to be enough room for her lungs, meaning stamina. She should ultimately be relatively weak and prone to lameness.

If she survived racing life sound, her conformation problems will probably not cause health problems in later life either, unless you want to turn her into an eventer.

    How many starts?
Yeah, she's got some faults. For a low-impact ammy life, she might do okay. I'd be willing to take a closer look if she had a lot of starts, limited breaks between races (showing a history of soundness) but that being said, there's a lot of nice horses out there, no point in going for this one unless you really like her - and not just the look but her personality too.
