You're in horse heaven imo. Heck, you can even get our breeds there as well.

The Wurttemberg and Zweibruken I'd love to see more of, especially the Wurttemberg. Heck, all the warmbloods.

Zweibrücker are bred where manes is going to live. Rheinlan-Pfalz, Saarland...
Württemberger are one of the few more distinctive wbs out there. What is interesting is that they always used arabian stallions to lighten the working/farm horses' frame. Those and Trakehner stallions.
But it makes sense, they are bred mainly at Marbach. Marbach is famous for their arabians. At least here in Germany..

Do they have Knabstruppers over there? If there is ever a breed of horse I never need it is a massive warmblood yet I have always ADORED Knabs. Appaloosa coloring on a big impressive WB?! So amazing.

For myself though I love the little ones! Fjords, and Gotland ponies, and Connemaras.

Europe defintely has a large variety in breeds, some extremely old. I guess it helps that we',re a lot closer to each other-you'll find Icelandics, Fjords and lots and lots of british pony breeds easily in Germany. oh, and Haflingers. You'd think they were a german breed, they're everywhere. The different types, too. S ome are visibly heavily influenced by ipcrosding arabian blood in, others are a lot heavier and look as if they'd go working the fields any minute.

I used to love Schwarzwälder Füchse a lot. I still like the look, that deep, deep chestnut colour with flaxen manes and tails.
But I like them more to look at from afar, not necessarily to care for...
I have always loved Connemaras and Irish Draughts.

those are not so little though. Love them, too.
there are Knabstruppers in Germany. Denmark is pretty close. Just across the Northern Sea.
They are mostly ridden/owned by baroque horse aficionados.

I think that's wonderful being so close to them. The Zweibruker is prolific, but the Wurttemberger is not common. I've only seen one that was a jumper. Gorgeous horses. ;)

I never know in German, about Zweibruker/Zweibruken or Wurttemberg/Wurttemberger myself as I see it used both ways.

Zweibrücken and Württemberg are the regions the horses originated in and where their state studs are.
Zweibrücker and Württemberger is what you call anyone from that region. Like New York and New Yorker?
