    Obviously, I love movies. :)

Dying is easy, comedy is hard. I believe there's truth to that. A drama many can do, pull off a decent comedy is very hard.

I'm not a romcom fan or the really crude ones, but I can appreciate a little of both.

We're watching a bizarrely fun sleeper called Kung Fun Hustle right now. If you can enjoy a little poking fun at martial arts and like slightly off wall, you'll love it-!!

What else have you guys enjoyed?

I cracked up at Date Night with Steve Carrell and I am usually not a fan. Even my own mother had guests over in her retirement community to watch it:confused:.

If it is Kung Fu Hustle I just asked hubby if he'd seen it and he said he loved it (I have not seen it).

He also said if you like that one try Shaolin Soccer

One of my older favorites is with Gene Wilder and Harrison Ford, The Frisco Kid. Absolutely funny and Ford is a hoot in it, Wilder well.. you know he is.;)

I'm not really a fan of mainstream comedy, the humor is usually too immature/crude for my tastes or it just falls flat. I did just see one that was pretty funny, it was called Why Him? starring James Franco and Bryan Cranston. Also I will admit, The Hangover cracks me up. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles and Best in Show are hilarious to me. And I know this isn't a movie, but The Office perfectly captures my sense of humor. :)

    Monty Python.
The movies and tv shows by a german humourist called Loriot.
I doubt they are available with english subtitles or dubbed. I also doubt it would be as funny for anyone else as it is for us germans since it pokes fun at typical "bourgois" germans.
It is understated and subtle and I love it to bits.
I remember Gene Wilder movies fondly from my childhood.
Blake Edwards movies (Victor/Victoria is asn all time fave) and Billy Wilder. What a genius.
As you can see, I like a lot of the older stuff.
I dislike that today's idea of comedy so often has a big ick factor. Vomit, pee and diarrhea are not mx idea of fun. Goes with other bodily fluids as well.
That said, Bridesmaids has its moments. Mostly because of Melissa McCarthy. Spy:Susan Cooper Undercover is really good. Was pleasantly surprised.

I haven't watched any lately and miss it. Thanks for the tip, I'll try and catch that one at the end of your post. :)
