Yay! Glad to hear she is doing well!
Welllllll, vet checked her eye pressure today, she has a small leak in one eye, which they sealed with glue, she will be rechecked tomorrow. But she can't come home tomorrow.
How on earth did I miss all of this? I am so sorry but hopefully she recovers well. Why on did I think she was much younger? I would have never guessed she was already 15. Keeping you in my thoughts!
Ugh no.. I hope she recovers quickly!
Dang! At least they caught it!
What's her pressure?
Equivalent to the other eye now. She didn't give me numbers. Eval was 20 IIRC, She said today the glue is holding, so plans are to pick her up Monday afternoon if things continue well.
Annnnnnnnnnd......It's a no go. Lol. Still a micro leak, but the vet is positive the body will be healing the incision this week, but her pressure is 28 compared to 20 in the good eye, so she doesn't want her to come home yet. Hoping for Thursday as a discharge date, if the eye is healed up. She doesn't want to go back in the eye to re-glue because she wants the body to heal it and scar for integrity. At a millimeter a day, it shouldn't take long to "form a star", which is what the incision scar will look like. She said Chloe is ready to go home, she's healthy and looking great, but we just can't risk any other complications.
She will be on stall rest for 6 weeks, then too small turnout, and that is to keep her blood pressure down, which affects the pressure to the eye, which could cause glaucoma or infection.
Heal quickly, Chloe!
Are they able to tell what improvement there is to her vision?
“Can you read all the letters on that line, Chloe?”
Separate names with a comma.
