Cat people, need some medical advice

    Dental ASAP. Drooling, mouth open and weight loss are 100% a sign of needing a dental.

    Weight and hair loss can be a sign of Hyperthyroid, a common condition for older cats.

    Kidney failure is also very very very common

    Idk, but if you've got cats I don't think I'd let him around them. Heck, I wouldn't touch him. Sounds like they need to pop for a euthenasia shot as there's no way that's not going to cost a fortune.

    Edited added - you'd mentioned they didn't have money for a vet, but at least put the cat down and make arrangements with the vet IMO.

    Can you offer to take the cat to the vet, with their permission and do what is necessary to either help or put the cat out of it's misery? That is what I would do if it were one of my neighbors.

    You might even try animal services near you/spca. Ours only charges 55 for euthanasia.
