Gorgeous dapple grey, Suz! Must be pretty young to be that dark/dapple-y still?
Extra Brownie Points to anyone that can come up with a DARK DAPPLED GREY that looks like this:
(before you all get too excited, he's NOT grey.....he's Black Silver Dapple)
But this is the kind of "look" I was envisioning when posting this thread. I've seen a few here that come close!
I recommended this color horse to my friend who wants a Dapple Grey because then it will always be dappled
Fancy, he is 10.
I don't know much about color genetics, but looking at this last picture got me thinking... If greys normally turn white as they get older, do grey and white paints turn white also?
Let me go find a grey pinto mini who looks white. And she's not that old! Though she was born bay.
This is her clipped and ready to show (she's a 2003 model).
Her in the winter (LOL!)
She only looks dappled when clipped.
And as a baby
Here's a weird one!^ I'm not sure if that's grey or the black silver dapple you where talkin' about...or maybe it's something else altogether!
Hmmm...i don't think i've ever seen one like this!
Woah! now here's some serious black silver dappling!
