I have a seven year old jenny who foaled seven months ago. She has a brown discharge coming from her vagina. It is liquid while inside and solidifies around the edges of it. Every time I clean it comes back. Would this indicate infection

If you are seeing a repeated discharge, it would be a good idea to have the vet exam your jenny.

Yes, that would indicate an infection. The vet needs to evaluate, culture, medication needed.

My mare Glory had a discharge similar. (She has never had a foal though.) The vet ended up doing an ultrasound but nothing was found other than her seeming to have an extra big follicle due to a hard heat cycle. She needed a round of antibiotics, some banamine (she was a bit sore) and a vaccine to help her finish the heat cycle. She was fine after.
