What's the banned substance oin Ginger?
I believe it can be used to relieve pain to some degree...not positive though.
There is NO PAPRIKA is the SHOW version of Black-As-Knight. Cheval International makes all their products in a SHOW formula for same price that substitutes in other ingredients (even though there is very little Paprika in the regular Coat Enhancers, they make a special version with zero Paprika for people who Show that will not test).
Feeding a horse Paprika is.a terrible idea for many reasons. As pointed out it "tests" and is "illegal" at horse shows, it can cause ulcers, if you don't purchase from the correct countries with correct nutrients in the soils it can turn your horse wrong and unwanted colors. Way better to let Cheval International do the blending of 18 ingredients together in healthy and correct amounts than to misuse only one of the minor ingredients and risk harming a horse or getting in trouble at shows.
Just use Black-/as-Knight SHOW formula and eliminate all the worries.

Give it up already. Most people are not fans of having products shoved down our throats
