I can understand that it has its drawbacks but it looks gorgeous.
Thank you, I will have to fight the husband on this one he loves his trees. But we need some dang grass again. Before we got the horse we had to constantly cut it, now I have a horse and no grass will grow. And the same trees are there. I just don’t get it.
Once they start eating it down low, the roots are getting tugged on all the time, the blades of grass get nourishment from the light so they can grow strong roots and when the blades are short, the grass roots start to die off and eventually, the grass. The sandy soil contributes greatly to the problem.
I used to rotate my fields with goats. Three days the horses, three_five, the goats because the goats ate the weeds, not the grass very much.
He is getting some grass now, loves it!
I’m just not ready for other animals yet lol. Souvie has been enough, at one time we had 3 horses out here. Those two left for behavior issue. Such as bucking my step daughter into a tree and breaking her elbow. Then she got another mare and she stays at a tang where she works now as a trail guide horse. So it’s just souvie now
That was suppose to say her mare is staying at a ranch where she works as a ranch hand and trail guide lol! Gotta love phones auto correct
No way was I going to ask what a “tang“ was~!!
I would like to know the same thing lol
