And the general theme... One model, one bug eyed boy, and their human potato
Old Man Sam went for his first trailer ride in quite a while, and played pony horse today while I rode Jess. They both did so fantastic! I've ponied them lots around the farm, but never actually out on the trails. It was also the first time they had ever actually ridden on the trailer together (though we've practiced loading together). Sam self loaded and unloaded, Jess just had to get on first which I figured would be the case. He tried sticking his nose up her butt a couple times, which she was not thrilled about but did fine with, before we all got the hang of it and he stayed right at my leg the whole time. If it looks like he was too far ahead in photos, it was just to snap the photo The good old boy had a great time, and Jess enjoyed the company!
Is that another "begging for cookies with his ears forward" pic? He's learning!!!
It could have been, or it was just him eyeballing the people in the parking lot, or maybe looking for more ponies... He loves other ponies He has been such a chipper boy lately though! I don't know if it's because it's been fairly mild out, or his new blankie, or him getting out and about a little more, or Jessie being in a better mood... Or a combination of all those things. Like I've said before, he tends to be quite a crabby boy, and always has been (only in the barn, and I think I've exhausted the reasons why - the only thing that's ever marginally helped has been upping his exercise), but he's just been happy happy lately. Whatever - I'll take it!
I also love how Jessie strikes a pose every time the camera comes out and Sam looks like a bug eyed donkey half the time. She's modeling, he's looking for snacks on the trailer floor...
You might be onto something @ginster
His new sheet finally arrived, and he was quite pleased with it (and today is the perfect day to put it to use). These were his cookie begging faces that followed he must've read this thread about me making fun of him.
Oh and also why Old Man's face gets clipped
That food must have tasted gooooood! The pics made me smile when I saw them on ig. He really is something else.
I think he needs something to do. Looks like he loved being out with you and Jessie.
Oh dear. We have a bunch of dead trees being cut down so they don't fall in the house or barn, and Samson thought is was a great past time watching them work up by the house, but now they moved next to the barn and I had to talk him of a ledge Food helps.
Always so concerned...
Jess is gorgeous!! And Sam is such a handsome old man. His forelock reminds me of the mammoth's from Ice Age
It totally does!!!
