Hi guys! So my old boy has a seriously thick dual mane. I've always been on the fence about Charlie chopping it off as he does have a pretty lovely neck. But also I'm attached to his "rugged" look lmaoo. So I was thinking some Inspo from all of your beauties might give me the nudge I need to go ahead and try out a different look. So please feel free to post your before and afters of your mane jobs. Pleaaaasssee

    Jessie with a long mane:

And I chopped it, cried a little bit, but haven't looked back! Her neck is not the most shapely, and it being cut just looks more attractive and gives it more shape I think. She is rocking the long blunt Euro cut right now for winter because I'm lazy and it keeps better under ger blankets if it's on the longer side.

ETA I also chopped it because it seemed to hit it's longest point and wasn't getting longer, but seemed to be getting thinner. It is soooo much thicker now, so if I were to ever let it grow again, I am positive it would be much fuller.

I read the title and thought: “This is a thread my X Husband could answer“...

I was going in that direction, or maybe a kind of “its a wonderful life” scenario.

Well, he did contemplate dark options after I left.

I have a habit of roaching Waylons mane about once a year. I've been pretty good this year. I haven't touched it in at least 16 months. I roach it because of this stuff.
