Featured Average height for jockeys?

    I was just curious...does anybody know how tall most jockeys are?

    5' to about 5'5 I do know that there is one jock who is almost 6'

    wow...thats really tall? So I could be a jockey after all...lol. Nah...I could never weigh as little as they have...thanks!

    There really isn't a height limit, but rather a weight limit. The shortest jockey I know is about 4'6" and the tallest one I know is about 5'9", but he can't ride below 55kg (121 lbs), which is severely limiting career-wise. Incidentally, it's bad to be too small. The 4'6" jockey I know has to ride with a huge saddle and significant weights at 48kg (106 lbs). Dead weight is much worse than live weight pushing the horse out with hands and heels to the line.

    if I were skinny, I could be a jockey. I'm only 5'2" but I'm fat. lol.

    Lol...Riding Reaper...I'm too tall and to heavy! I'd have 2 drop about forty pounds and shrink prolly 7 inches
