In the spirit of having just found my first horse, I want to maybe help others out there looking for their equine buddies. If you have been looking for a horse, and want to buy it back or know it's just being taken care of, you can post pictures here and maybe another member might know where your horse is, or will want to help out and do some research. (I'm not sure if other threads like this exist, I just want to start a new one!)

    :)

Sorry! This thread isn't about horses for SALE, rather horses that were sold/stolen/etc. and people want to re-connect with them.

I know of Fred Carney. I've never personally met him, but a couple of my trainer's horses came from him. Don't know of the horse, sorry. :/ But I hear he's a pretty good guy (Fred)

LAST KNOWN TO BE IN COLORADO

(I'll add pics in a few)

Registered name: Dally N Turn Off
Registered with the American Buckskin Registry Association, born in 1995
    Barn name: Dally
Sire / Dam: Yes I Will / Jet Mount Top
Looks: Dun mare, about 15 hands, has a small star and snip on her face, all the classic dun characteristics - zebra leg stripes, dorsal, webbing, etc
Uses: was a multi-champion barrel horse for years, as was up until at least 2007. worked cattle, went both english and western, bomb-proof, good for kids, the actual literal all-round horse. had one colt.

I sold her in 2006 to a family here for barrel racing. They raced on her until 2007-ish, then sold her to someone who took her to Colorado I guess. I never got any information on her. I'm not registered any more with the ABRA so I can't do an owner look-up (don't know if ABRA even offers that).

I would like to know she's alright, what she's doing, get updates, etc. I would 100% purchase her at any point in time no matter the reason - I don't care if she's 30 years old and 4 legged lame. I owned her for 8 years and she was the best thing I ever owned. I'd love to know how she is, if she's still alive. She is 17 now I guess - WOW.

All pics were taken in Dec 2005...

(and if ABRA allows owner look-up, I'd be grateful for eternity if anybody could look up her owner)

I have worked with him and bought horses from him. I just5 wish he'd give me any info. Casino was awesome, and I'd give anything to find him...even to know he's alright.

To be honest I'd love to find out what happened to my first horse. She's a probably 35 year old now Shetland cross with god knows what mare. We gave her back to a farmer friend in 2007 when one of the geldings started beating the living daylights outta her. He passed away in 2009 and his kids took his horses and sold all his stuff and house and didn't bother to tell me where they took her. I have no way to get a hold of them, no way to know what happened to her or if she is even still alive. She had a leg issue where one of her hocks was like baseball or bigger size. It just made her lame but she was healthy otherwise and got around just couldn't trot, walked fine and cantered on 3 legs(talented girl).

Should probably add last known to be in Alberta.

So here's the only pics I have of her(we used to be very camera shy people). She'll probably be pure white now if she's alive as her spots did fade over time. First picture is the most recent, probably from 2007, second one from 2001.
