Anyway to keep your water trough's from freezing?:

    Isn't there different products and such that you can use to keep the water from freezing in your field's water trough's?

    Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! :)

    dad just got a electric thing that you put in it to keep it warm. The cord I guess is wrapped so the horses cant chew it, I'm have to get it out and look at it haha

    We just float cheap kids play balls in ours.

    We just use one of those water deicers. Keeps the water at a drinkable temperature all winter long :)

    I'm in Georgia so it only gets cold at night, that's when the horses come in their stalls. Every morning I crack the ice with a shovel or something and get the chunks out, usually the sun warms it up and it's good until that night.
