Do any bama members know where there are good horse auctions? The main one I found online was Baldwin Co and it said they are a kill buyer auction. It said you can get horses cheaper at small auctions where kill buyers dont show up. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

I live in Alabama (Chilton County) and it doesnt matter which auctions you go to the horse market sucks right now and all the horses are cheap. The best one we go to is in Montgomery. Normally have about 50-100 head sometimes more. Lately its more. Like I said they are CHEAP! Im talking under 600.00. Most of the ones that sell from 400-800 are the Nice Gaited Field Trial horses.

Hope this helps. That acution is the 3rd Friday night of the month. Tack starts at 5:30 and horses follow. They have a good restraunt there too on the grounds. I will miss it this month as I am going to Florida Camping for a St Jude Ride.

We are going to have Suri and Blue in this sale in Cullman, AL on the 25th. From what I understand they usually have some pretty good horses. I know there are 90 consigned right now and they are going to allow 125 max in it.

Just lightening the load a little bit. To be honest, I do not want to sell Suri at all....and may back out before the sale gets here....

I would have to think long and hard before I let Suri go.

There is a sale in Luverne on the first Sat of every month. tack starts at 1 and horses areond 4. i see DEAD broke awsome horses go there for 250 or less. Around here, the gaited horses are bringing just a little more than others.
