    Hey guys

Im lookin for a little bit of advice..

Are there any supplements are remedies you can give your horse to build up an good strong immune system? Kelly system isnt very strong in the slightest infact she just in the past 72 hours picked up a very rare virus!..

Ive come to the conclusion this could be because when she was a foal she was taken from the dam to early and she hasnt been able to build that up with her mothers milk.

Anyway shes fully vaccinated, she has a teeth floated 3 - 4 times a year, she has regular check ups, shes groomed every day, bathed every so often, wormed regulary..

is there anything else i can do to build her immune system up?

If you look on smartpack's website there are a bunch of supplements that are supposed to help with the immune system :)

You say your horse just got over a virus, this in itself will cause cause your horse to have a weak immune system.

There are herbs I can suggest that will help your horse, but I would like to know more about your horse before I recommend any.

I would like to know the following, it you can tell me-
    does your horse seem depressed,
does it wee, poo ok..normal colour, poo not like cow paddies,
is your horse eating properly, not eating to fast, not droopping food,
    Is it drinking ok,
does it seem nervous at all, like jump at it own shadows. etc.
what are your horses vitals if possible,
does the coat look healthy and shiny or dull and rough,
is your horse showing any signs of pain...yawning, chewing without food in its mouth, twitching the lip even slightly.
does your horse lift its top lip...(like when it doesn't like something) after it has eaten,
is there anything you can tell me that your horse is doing that you think is not normal for her.

Can you please pm me, I sometimes do not get back to threads.

The issue with the colostrum is long over with now.

What is her diet - list everything and the amounts. She may just not be getting adequate nutrition.
