I have a friend that has a horse that has an issue with his feet. When you go to pick up his front feet he almost lies down like he is confused. His back feet he will sometimes kick but sometimes he will pick them up with his tail tuck and almost fall over. Does anyone have any advice on what she needs to do to help this horse? Thank you

Repeat, repeat, repeat. Just keep working with him until he find his balance and understand what you want.

Try not to let the foot drop when he starts to go down. He's probably leaning on it because it has worked for him in the past to get the foot away. I've had horses do that to the point of going down. When they got back up and I picked it up again, it didn't take them long to figure out it won't work.
I've had others that just hadn't learned to balance on 3 feet. Take your time, they do figure it out.
