    What is it with native english speakers and their fascination for german words? I, in turn, find that kinda fascinating..
    In this case I think drive or élan would be the closest to ist meaning in german.

    OK, you do realize that English had drawn most of it's words from other languages, so it is a made up language at the best of times.

    I this case to have one word that says all those things succinctly, well why would you not use it? It sounds good and covers about everything.
