Found this on another forum, and found it interesting!
oooh weird...but cool
Here is a timeline of fetal development.
I've seen that timeline, it's really neat! I really like the "real" images though. However, I know they are hard to get.
I wouldn't mind seeing a size reference on that.
A vet here nearby has a fetus just like that in the office. i wonder if its the same. lol.. Its pretty cool to see.
That's pretty cool. I like the timeline too. How could I find real images? I would like to see what my foal would look like at 7 1/2 months.
oh eww. that makes me nauseous.
poor little baby.
pretty interesting though.
These are miniature foals: http://crayonboxminiatures.com/MiniFetusDevelopment.html
Warning, there are some GRAPHIC pictures of aborted foals at various levels. Naturally, they are much smaller than full-sized horse foals, but I assume the features and development is about the same. I found it very interesting myself.
Snaffle Bit: Thanks for posting that link! I saw that yesterday, but couldn't find it in my history to post. It was a very interesting read. In the 60-day fetus, you can see that it was a colt. Very cool. (but also very sad all of these babies were aborted)
