Kind of off topic, but still horsey related. We are looking into getting a 3/4 ton pickup but many don't post the gas mileage for their vehicles. Since the truck would also be used for a short commute to work daily, we want to find one that gets good gas mileage when its not hauling but still has the power to pull a steel 3h gooseneck. Anyone have any gas mileage you'd like to share from your experiences? From my research, diesel is getting the better MPG but with the cost of it, using it for a daily commute doesn't seem realistic? Most interested in highway miles, since that's what the commute consists of. Thanks!!
