We got a filly less than a month ago, and I'm wondering what everyone's opinion on her is. I haven't been able to get a great picture of her but I have some. She's under the age of two so she may change a good amount. She is skinny and we're trying to put more weight on her.

This is the only picture I have of her that she is anywhere near square. I honestly don't have much help when it comes working with them and taking pictures.
So I had her squared up but then she decided to eat.

This was the picture that was shown in her ad. It's the only frontal picture I have of her. She is still in a winter coat. I will post more pictures if I can get them, but it will probably be about a week before I can see her again. What are your thoughts on her conformation? Also what are your thoughts on her colorings?

Have you had a fecal done? She looks wormy.

She has cute coloring, but these pictures are not appropriate for a critique.

She's about to be wormed again soon, we got her from a person who had rescued her from bad circumstances. These photos were taken when we just got her, and she's already looking better.

Fecals are pretty cheap. My old vet only charged $10 for one test.
Please don't worm your horse until you've done a fecal and actually know what to worm her for. All wormers are NOT created equal and will not target the same worms. You need to know what she's got going on before you attempt to treat it.

We'll be doing a barn call for all the horses coggins, and we'll try to do it then, or does it have to be done in lab? Our veterinarian is hard to schedule an appointment with definitely at this time a year. So we try to do everything in one trip.

Just collect some fresh poo and bring it to your vet. You don't need a barn call for a fecal, you shouldn't even need an appointment. Just call ahead and let them know.

I'll try to as I can. I am still a minor so I will have to talk to my parents as I do not drive yet.

She doesn't look like she's 20 months old.. I don't know if she's just skinny? She looks younger to me.
