The two that they are looking at for us are marshmallows (very submissive) and they are being fostered in homes with cats so I think I will be OK. My cats are pretty dog saavy, they are not runners (I had an ACD with a really high prey drive) and are never unsupervised with my dogs so I'm not too worried, but better safe than sorry.

I do a lot of obedience and agility work with my dogs and I have heard that the Corsos are extremely intelligent and very trainable. We had Bullmastiffs growing up that were more like doorstops than dogs, so I am looking forward to a mastiff with a little more energy!

I was excited to see someone else on HGS that was familair with the breed. Most people don't know what they are, and I know that they are not for everyone.

Our new dog is coming from Cane Corso Rescue. We were "approved" as adopters and are just awaiting our home visit. I have talked to some really nice people who volunteer with this organization. They seem like they put a lot of effort into matching the correct dog with the correct home (we have cats so we need a Corso that won't eat them:wink:)

We have been potentially "matched" with a couple of young male Corsi (my current dogs are female). We are super excited about our new family member!

You raised Corsos? I'm in the process of adopting a Corso! Most people have no idea what they are:-)

Thanks! I enjoy a good political debate, and the whole conspiracy theory stuff is just silly!
