      Yea, life is too short to worry yourself over little things like that!! Once you move up the levels and are having to keep to the much faster pace your teachers will probably work with you on staying up to the jumps, but not until then.
      You can work on your 2-pt along with me- I've lost all my balance and strength so just staying up for a couple laps is a serious chore- so while you work on riding in that to fences, I'll work on just staying it it period! :p
      I do think it's a great thing to learn to jump out of your 2pt- when you get down the feeling of balancing them before the jump with your upper body and thighs I think you will find it just as comfortable/secure! :)

      You have probably never been corrected because you are not "wrong" at the lower levels- just using a certain strategy. I don't think it is necessary to jump out of stride until above prelim. So don't feel down- at least you can effectively jump fences at all (unlike some of us ;))
