Hey. Just wondering when the Leg-Up foal raffle does start? I want to buy a ticket or 2 or 3 this time round.

Thanks :) Here she is, Marrakesh, out of a Trak mare! Ridden by Jackie Stoutenburg.

Unrelated, but I just found out that a local mare I really like is a Morocco daughter. I have pics if you'd like to see!

Hi Kathy! I thought you might find this somewhat "cool" and wanted to share! I finally got around to breeding my 18 year old mare, who's been open for five years. She cultured very dirty, which was no surprise considering how sunken her anus was and thus causing her vulva to be awfully tilted. We did 3 straight days of antibiotic infusions on the next cycle with lots of oxytocin injections lol. Following cycle we bred on a 30 & a 38, with semen that was looking fantastic after 24 hours post collection & was shipped in a disposable from Kentucky to CA. The 30 had not grown in 3 days, but lo and behold, we checked the next day and she had two CLs. Another antibiotic infusion, a lavage, and a Caslick's (and mooore oxytocin). We just did the 14 day check today and, dun dun dun, she had in fact conceived on both follicles lol. We're pinching one off tomorrow (they're identical in size). I just have to hand it to my vets who managed to get this older, risky mare in foal on ONE cycle!!!

So, while up at the horse unit at Cal Poly today, we were preparing the AV for collection when my professor exclaimed, "well, that's just wrong!" Confused, we looked at him. He had a horse magazine in his hands turned to your advert. Smirking, I informed him that you had a whole calendar if he cared to further indulge himself or his wife. :D It definitely was a hit with the majority of the Breeding Enterprise though.

Happy birthday Kathy. Spending it in Ireland must be pretty cool.

I have a question for you, how definitive are blood tests for testing pregnancy? At about 90 days?

I will come to Oklahoma! .....some time lol! We're off tomorrow to le trec training- first time to ride in a group and then we'll had off on the road for orienteering- need to think of a way to fix the map to the saddle so I have free hands, the ride might get bit bumpy at times as Seagull only ever hacked in company twice...Should be fun!
