It's through elementary school. There are plenty of non-school opportunities for sports/clubs for elementary ages, after that.... it depends on your area. Once you get older, city leagues and rec leagues just don't cut it if you want to be competitive in something!

I mostly learned it by myself and by my friend who has horses too :)

Next winter (about a year from now) I will hopefully get another horse, a good horse, and keep the horses in Reykjavík, if you will go to iceland after I get the other horse I could let you ''try them out'' :) I only have one now.

      Hi :D
Thank you for the nice words about her!

I have never ridden other than icelandic horses before, so I don't know the difference, but they have a huge personality, if you want more calm horse that just ''is there'' then get a gelding, if you want a horse with more personality then mares :)
These horses are amazing, but if you will get yourself an icelandic horse I reccomand you getting tutorial lessons somewhere that icelandics are breed or something like that, theres a trick to ride them.

on other horse breeds its more - hop on and just go faster to go to the right gaits, with the icelandic one its a bit trickier you have to learn that.

you are welcome to ask me more questions ;D But yeah, Icelandics that are well trained are easy to ride! The gaits is the most tricky part.
Also, they have the most awesome temperament ever, they are famous for their fun personality.
Also, because they are on the smaller side, its not so bad to fall off :D though its always bad ofcourse.

      thank you :)
I neglected taking a lot of photos in her 2 year old year, but I think I may have some at my parents.
I wanted to be sure to document her graying, I just didnt think it would take so long!

So...I've loved horses since I was three. I could have one if I could afford it though! But I can't (and never have had a horse), so I just read about them as much as possible. I know enough to understand 'horse talk', but I'm always looking to learn more about horses in general and other peoples' horses, so please send me a message about yours!
I'll be asking lots of questions on here - this seems like a useful horse site.
Oh and I love to do anything with horses...whether its just watching them, taking pictures of them, or petting them (for you horse owners, you don't know how lucky you are just to be able to TOUCH a horse)!
I've loved horses since I was 3...I am 13 now.

Equine lover. Never had a horse, don't ride...doesn't matter. You can still love them, am I right?
