I had to carry water from my bathtub to the barn for the horses. I feel for those who deal with this kind of cold all the time. Ugh. Jan 19, 2016

That sounds miserable :( we are expecting an inch of snow tomorrow and the entire state will likely lose their minds. We don't handle snow well here lol. There won't be a loaf of bread on a shelf to be found!

This is actually the normal way I water my horses--in snowy Michigan. I always think I'll be buff by spring from carrying buckets from the house to the pasture. Never quite works out that way though.... Maybe by next year, I'll have a frost-free hydrant. I hope. Stay safe in your one inch of snow, we've had that much in the last two hours.

I'll work on the staying safe... I nearly hospitalized myself walking out of my house this morning... solid sheet of ice. It was quite a show. I do not envy those north of me!

"The moment I put my left foot in the stirrup, step on the horse and settle in the saddle, I just come alive. That is the greatest feeling in the world. It isn't a feeling of power or superiority or even that I'm going to do something; it's just a general feeling of harmony with... the whole world." - Helen Crabtree
