..."mislead" lol I won't even admit to how often I "mislead" regarding horse-related financials.

Ugh, I love Prestiges SO much. Probably even a little bit more than Albion. But alas, no one EVER sells them cheap. Annnd I'm pretty sure if I bought that one Matt would stab me. BUT.. I'm thinking I might do something incredibly irresponsible come spring. When I get my student loans I just *might* splurge and get a nice saddle like this one. After all a nice saddle would provide me with much needed pony therapy to make up for school stress. Legit? I haven't mentioned it to Matt yet... o_0

I realllly like the looks of MT, and I think the tree shape would be pretty versatile. The one thing I have concerns over is that "double leather" which is essentially a thin calfskin veneer over cheaper leather. It seems like something like that would wear terribly. And I've actually seen a couple threads on here about the leather bubbling and separating. If I go the MT route it would definitely have to be older to avoid that issue. I hear you about the horse budget.. I *SHOULD* be saving for a trailer for this winter when Paden will be sent to my trainer.. But it's SO much more tempting to throw down for a nice saddle. :/

omg. No, I didn't buy it. I was waiting for your UK expertise, and it looks like I got it. Nexxxxt. Matt just about had a cow when I gently alluded to wanting to get it. *sigh* must stay in 5-600 range unfortunately. I'm contemplating an M. Toulouse I saw on tacktrader. The most hideous brown though. I just dont get it.

I let him be a snot 100% of the time because he's the worst retaliater. (sp?) If you do something he deems unacceptable such as putting a fly mask on him, halter, not feeding first, etc, he will get you back ten fold. I did some major horse whispering with paden the other day too.. He was driving me nuts about picking up his back left foot. He'd do a pick up and then step down over you type maneuver. After the 5th time of him doing that I get up and visciously poke him in the butt with hoof pick. He lost his mind and reared up whilst tied to hitching post. It was not a crowning moment of glory for the training books.

Come have Apple. I'll buy you some reins AND a bridle if you take him! He can be sedonas best friend. ...He's been the BIGGEST jerk in history lately. You so much as try to pet him now and he flings his butt and kicks. I plan to send him to a boot camp trainer after Paden's done.

I know, the reins are STEEP. But thay're soooooo nice. When I don't need another saddle, and a couple other more random things I'll buy them.
